Absolutely beautiful, incredibly painful
Looks just like the pictures, and it's absolutely gorgeous. They've added more eyelets and have a slot in the tongue to hold the laces so they don't slip around like the old models tended to do, which is a big improvement.
However the toe of the shoe arches up quite rigidly, so it's less like walking on your tip toes and more that all your weight is on the bone instead as opposed to distributed evenly. This also means your toes tend to scrunch together, so unless you're 90 pounds or less, or are used to wearing heels, this is going to hurt. I.e. I would never wear this to actively walk around in.
I really also miss the older models of boots that had the thick rubberised sole, as this would take the impact (and were nonslip). Now it's a thin but very rigid layer underneath so it feels a bit like walking around in clogs. Not to mention, the new design underneath is so slippery I had to buy adhesive protective stick ons, so that walking around doesn't turn into a massive slip and slide.
Also, as someone who has morton's toe I tend to have to go for either a 41 or 42, depending. If you're in between sizes, definitely size up.
